1. Weekly Home Reading Goal (HRG)
Students set a new goal each Wednesday.
Parents, please sign goal achievement/reflection every Tuesday evening
2. I-STATION PRACTICE
I-Station at home counts as Home Reading!
Tier 1 = covered in class
Tier 2 = 30 minutes/week
Tier 3 = 60 minutes/week
Reading Program Components
To be prepared for class, students will be expected to have a Good Fit or "just right" book with them every day (use guidelines on image below). Students will be practicing reading while applying strategies, on a daily basis. During this time, individual and group conferencing with the teacher will take place.

Wednesday - PLC Schedule. Set NEW Weekly HRG. Theme in poetry - determining main idea. Narrative poem drafts.
Thursday - Effect of Historical Event or Movement on the Theme in Poetry. Narrative poem drafts.
Friday - Poetry Summative Assessment. Narrative poem DUE.
